Kona 100% Oak Wood Smoker Pellets for Ninja Woodfire & Smokers
Kona 100% Oak wood pellets are pure oak hardwood: a clean, medium, all-purpose smoke that's the reliable backbone of barbecue. Built for the Ninja Woodfire's smoke box, and just as at home in any smoker.
Flavor profile
Oak is the workhorse. Medium strength, balanced, and never sharp or bitter. If you're not sure which wood to grab, grab oak.
Best for
Beef and brisket, sausage, lamb, and as a base you can layer any other wood into. Central Texas barbecue leans on oak for a reason.
Why the wood matters
Clean, mature oak, with no filler and no reclaimed sawdust padding it out. Dense wood burns hotter and more predictably, which is exactly what you want from your everyday, cook-anything smoke.
How to use it
In the Ninja Woodfire, one scoop, about 1/3 to 1/2 cup, runs roughly 30 to 90 minutes depending on temperature. Drop it in a smoker tube or sprinkle over charcoal in other setups. Not designed for hopper-fed pellet grills like Traeger.
The details
- 100% oak hardwood, food grade, no fillers or additives
- Resealable 2 lb, 8 lb, and 16 lb bags (about 80 cooks per 8 lb)
- Clean-burning, low ash, low moisture
- Compatible with the Ninja Woodfire and most smokers and smoker tubes
Common questions
What is oak wood good for? Beef, brisket, and sausage, and as an all-purpose base you can blend other woods into.
Is oak a strong smoke? No, it's medium and balanced, which is what makes it the most versatile wood to keep on hand.

I don't own a smoker. I have a gas grill. I use these pellers with a smoker tube (stainless steel tube filled with holes). I close and holes in my gas grill with aluminum foil and my gas grill becomes a smoker. These give my BBQ ribs a great smoky taste.
These pellets provided some great blend of smoke with a good flavor to my meat.
I love the smell of these pellets and they burn very clean!!
Great smelling smoke pellets, high quality product that is works perfectly with small smokeless firepits. The value for the money just isn't there for such a small bag which is the reason I went with four stars. Similar quality smoker pellets can be found in much larger quantities for not too much more money.
I bought 2 bags of pellets for my Ninja smoker and I used the oak pellets for a whole chicken. I haven’t tried the cherry yet.The chicken was Smokey flavored and very juicy. Yes, I would recommend the oak pellets and will give a new review after I’ve tried the cherry pellets.
i use these with my gas grill. the chow tastes amazing!
A great flavor in a small bag
I love the flavor it gives only used 1/3 of a cup for a whole chicken in a ninja grill. Will definitely be ordering more
Picked up a pack along with the new Ninja Woodfire ProConnect. I like it. Good smoke flavor without over powering the brisket.
These pellets worked perfectly in my Ninja Outdoor Woodfire Grill. The smoke was perfect for the roast I made. Delicious!
Using a Ninja Woodfire Grill, I don’t need 20 lb bags so this 2 lb pack is wonderful!
