Kona 100% Cherry wood pellets are pure cherry hardwood, mild and sweet with a touch of tartness, and they lend a deep mahogany color to whatever you smoke. Sized for the Ninja Woodfire's smoke box, where one scoop is all it takes.
Flavor profile
Cherry runs a step richer than apple. Sweet, lightly tart, and fruity, and it darkens the bark beautifully. One of the most forgiving woods you can put in a smoker.
Best for
Pork and poultry, beef, and ribs or pork shoulder especially. It's the wood people reach for when they want color and a sweet edge. Blends well with hickory or oak when you want a fuller, deeper profile.
Why the wood matters
Plenty of pellets labeled cherry aren't really cherry, just a cheap base wood dosed with flavor oils. Kona's is real cherry hardwood, the actual species, with nothing sprayed on. That's why the sweetness reads clean instead of artificial, and why it lasts through a real cook.
How to use it
In the Ninja Woodfire, one scoop, about 1/3 to 1/2 cup, gives roughly 30 to 90 minutes of smoke depending on temperature. Works in a smoker tube or sprinkled over charcoal too. Not designed for hopper-fed pellet grills like Traeger.

So I am new to the whole pellet thing. I've been collecting bbq things all spring and now that the bbq patio is in it's time to try these out. Everything I have read says you soak the pellets, put them in a smoker box and add into the bbq for a nice smoky flavor. I also see where certain flavors go with certain meats. Cherry is good for smoking beef, pork and duck/fowl. The local restaurants are about to suffer a loss because I'm going to be working at the smoker all summer honing my bbq skills. This is a nice size bag...five stars.
I could really tell the difference in the smoke flavor verses other brands with fillers.

Kona cherry wood pellets give off a very distinct and sweet flavor, which has paired perfectly so far with chicken. only complaint is they do seem to not burn very well at colder temperatures. but they give the flavor that I wanted for chicken. and I will also be trying them on pork. and turkey.
Ive never owned a smoker before getting the ninja flexflame.When looking for pellets I found the Kona variety pack and started cooking.Once I smelled the cherry pellets I knew I had found my flavor!They cook well, they are small enough to fit in the laughably small ninja hopper, and did I say they smell amazing?!For big cooks I use about a cup of pellets so the price is pretty good to last most of the summer.I actually just cooked our thanksgiving on the flexflame and used these cherry pellets and my very vocal family all said it tasted incredible.Ill be buying these again!

These ALSO work in the GE Profile indoor smoker perfectly ... there easy enough to use - just follow the instructions that comes with the GE Smoker & you'll be fine. Smoke output is consistent - which is great - thus one pellet doesn't put out vast amounts of smoke - whilst another one may not - quality is wonderful - just the right amount of smoke between pellet loads ... great ... great product ....

They make smoke and add smoked flavor to foods. I bought these because of living in an apartment, I don't need a 20# bag of pellets for my Woodfire outdoor grill.
These wood pellets are good and come in a resealable bag. They are good for my outdoor pizza oven.
Love the product, gives great flavor to my smoking projects but the packaging is not the best. It used to have a really nice sturdy package that showed the product and brand really well but then went to a plain black packet that doesn’t show anything, and now the 8 lb packet comes in a really thin zip lock bag that will never hold up.
I use this pallets for Ninja woodfire grill. Much more better than original ninja pallets! Smell real wood! Definitely recommended!
