Most grill aficionados will tell you that the only seasoning you will ever need for a good quality steak is freshly ground pepper and coarse salt. Honestly, they are right. However, we you eat steak as frequently as we do it is nice to mix things up a little and go for a little twang added to our favorite cut of beef.
Below is our favorite, however feel free to mixing it up a little bit. Some of users have added a half cup of brown sugar and upped the amount of Worcestershire sauce. Have fun and let us know what your favorite is. Happy grilling.
Best Steak Marinade
1/2 Cup Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
1 Squeezed Lemon
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 Table Spoon Garlic Powder
1 1/2 Table Spoons Parsley
2 1/2 Table Spoons Basil
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
1 Teaspoon White Pepper
Few Shakes of Cayenne Pepper to your liking
Blend for 30 seconds, pour over your favorite steak and marinate 2-8 hours in the refrigerator.
We recommend getting one side of your grill blazing hot. Sear the meat for 1.5 minutes per side, than place it on a Kona grill mat at the other side of your grill that is at approximately 470 degrees surface temperature. Finish off grilling for 5 - 7 minutes per side.
Allow it to rest 5 minutes and enjoy one of the best steaks you ever had!
