Note to self: pay better attention to the description!! I was expecting 20 pounds. This is a 2 pound bag. My bad.

I had not yet tried the alder flavored wood when using my pellet smoker. These pellets by Kona are easy to use and work well with any basic pellet smoker. The bag gives great suggestions on which types of proteins work best with the flavor profile which I appreciated since I am not familiar with this wood. The heat retention is great on these pellets- they last a long time and are of a good value. I would definitely buy these again and try other types of wood pellets from this brand as well.
