New Kona Extreme Cooler Ice Packs - Features and How To Use & Fill

ABOUT KONA ICE PACKS:
It’s time to stop fooling around with bags of ice and quick thawing ice packs in your cooler. Bags of ice leave pools of water in your cooler which makes a mess and can make your food soggy.

Enjoy the convenience of On-Demand ice and skip those trips to the store for ice!  Kona ice packs are the perfect ice pack substitute, are heavy duty, and long lasting.  They are built tough to handle the toughest of bumps, drops, and thuds. These ice packs for coolers have a durable and tough shell that can handle anything and have a unique diamond pattern to increase surface area and a specially designed plastic that quickly releases the cold.

Each large size or 2 of the medium sized ice packs are 4 pounds once filled and replace a 7-pound bag of ice. They easily fit in every freezer and almost every cooler.  These ice packs are long lasting and are great to keep food cold when the power goes out. No need to add ice!

Just add water to the Kona Blue Ice formula to each of the cooler ice packs and place in a freezer. Once frozen, they'll stay at 18-Degrees F. for hours. Each freezer pack typically lasts between 24-48 hours. These are also food safe freezer packs made with an HDPE plastic and the proprietary deep freeze gel contains no mysterious chemicals.

Already have your Kona Heavy Duty Ice Packs…Congratulations!  Below are the instructions on how to fill them for the first-time use.  Below is a link to a video instruction as well.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Remove child proof cap. Push down & twist.
  2. Add water (5.5cups/44oz for 4 lb. ice pack, 2.5 cups/20oz for 2 lb. ice pack) of water using included paper funnel.

Note: Do NOT overfill.  Overfilling can cause bulging.

  1. Slowly squeeze the center of ice pack until the water rises to 1/2-1 inch below the bottom of the ice pack spout.

Note: Squeezing too much will cause water to overflow.

Squeezing not required for 2 lb. pack.

  1. While squeezing ice pack center, replace lid & tighten firmly.
  2. Shake ice pack for 1 minute to activate cooling gel.
  3. Freeze for 24 hours.
